Macclesfield Candidate to Beat the Bounds

John Knight to walk constituency boundary.

From Saturday 24 to Monday 26 April, John Knight, Macclesfield's Green Party candidate and a keen long-distance walker, will walk the 60-mile boundary of the constituency. As well as enjoying some of our outstandingly beautiful countryside, in both the hills and the plains, he will use the opportunity to highlight some of the issues facing Macclesfield and its surrounds, such as Norbury Hollow (threatened by road-building) and BAE Woodford - where not only do the workforce face redundancy, but wildlife habitats are threatened by the prospect of mass house-building.

John would like to invite members of the public to join him on any (or all!) of the walk; his schedule, with connecting bus & train times, can be viewed here.
